Her background has spanned several areas from broadcast reporter and editor to public relations and media relations to sales. In each job, it was important to be able to quickly boil down the key points of a story and deliver it to the right audience using the best channels. Keeping your message simple has become more imperative as the number of ways to communicate continues to expand.
She has enjoyed the challenge of keeping those messages fresh and in the spotlight. Although traditional media has had its challenges in recent years, she still loves to see how local businesses and non-profits really benefit – with new customers and connections - after they’ve been covered in their community papers and local broadcast outlets.
And as for social media, Facebook, blogging and Twitter are just an extension of her former media days.
